Cannot remove matrix column

Added a subtotal to matrix column. But really wanted subtotal below the columns. Now that subtotal column is permanent. Cannot find a way to remove it.

Nevermind, just select subtotal on context menu again and it goes away. How obvious.

Still, after reading various posts here I realize that it's not obvious at all how to put column subtotals at bottom of a matrix. let's say I have a simple matrix with one row group and one column. All I want is to have total at bottom of each data column.

Cannot operate on a set with more than 4,294,967,296 tuples.

Quick Update on this issue,

If I remove the [Crash].[Case Nbr].[Case Nbr] from Rows, then the error goes away.

Cannot open user default database. Login failed. (only when IDE is open)

I get the below error only when my IDE open. It connects well when it is found closed.

[SqlException (0x80131904): Cannot open user default database. Login failed.
Login failed for user 'JP\ASPNET'.]

I could solve this by giving the logged in windows user to impersonate under IIS window > WEBSITE > ASP.NET tab > EDIT CONFIG > APPLICATION tab

But I wish someone could give me the proper solution.

I almost tried all from giving ASPNET user as a administrator to configuring the same in Express management tool.

Environment: XP pro, VWD and SQL Express

The problem i think is that u-r user that u r using has default database and that dont exist, to correct that u must go in the property of that user in Sql menagment system and set other default databse for that user..

I believe that when you have the database opened as "user instance" it can not be opened by more than one application, like Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Express, etc.

Could you please explain a little more?

where did you get that error message? From VWD or from IIS ? I guess it is from IIS since if you are using VWD accessing database, the account should be the one which you use to run VWD -- in this case the account won't be ASPNET.

I get the below error only when my IDE open.

There is a possibility that if you have attached your database file from one process, you cannot attach it again from another process. Since one physical database file cannot be attached by two different instances (note we use customer instance in sql2005 express). But in that case the error message should look lik: cannot attach database again since database file is currently in use.

Also, I performed a search through internet and find this KB article which may be helpful to you:

Each user has a default database. When you connect to computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server, and you do not specify a login database, the default database is used. The user default database is unavailable at the time of connection. It is possible that the database:

</configuration>You really, really, really should not do that becasue this leaves a security hole for SQL injection, imagine you user input (which should be treaten as suspious), enter in the textbox2 the following text:

'',NULL'); DROP DATABASE model; --

THis would cause the model database to be dropped, I am sure you don′t want to do this. :-) Always use parametrized queries for the access, that can′t be comnposed as easy as in the sample code of yours.

Cannot open database

Hi i am currently doing my final year project. I am using MS SQL and ASP. I uncounter the error below when i am doing my login.

Error Type:

in the SQLServer:Memory Manager object will tell you when the maximum amount
of locks was reached to produce this error. more memory will obviously help
as the sp_lock configuration when set to 0 will allocate upto 40% of SQL
memory to locks before this happens. so obviously increasing the amount of
memory(assuming that U are running 2K3 OS Advanced then you a can add upto
8Gb of memory)

Are the rest of the workstations using the same ODBC drivers as the the ones
on the two workstations. Click on the drivers tab and check versions. If
there not the same try and download some
new MDAC drivers. Just a guess. Are the working workstations using TCP/IP
to connect to SQL server?

In the machine that you installed Katmai,do you have another version of SQL Server?Because in the katmai site has a document speaking that before you install katmai,remove the workstation components of Sql Server 2005...

For this CTP release, you must uninstall SQL Server 2005 Workstation Components before installing the SQL Server "Katmai" Workstation Components. Uninstalling the SQL Server 2005 Workstation Components removes three Integration Services components: the SQL Server 2005 version of the Execute DTS 2000 Package task and two supporting assemblies. These three Integration Services components support backward compatibility between SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services (DTS). Without these three components, SQL Server 2005 packages and tools that require DTS support will not run.

However, SQL Server "Katmai" Integration Services includes a version of the Execute DTS 2000 task and the two supporting assemblies. In the machine that you installed Katmai,do you have another version of SQL Server?Because in the katmai site has a document speaking that before you install katmai,remove the workstation components of Sql Server 2005...

For this CTP release, you must uninstall SQL Server 2005 Workstation Components before installing the SQL Server "Katmai" Workstation Components. Uninstalling the SQL Server 2005 Workstation Components removes three Integration Services components: the SQL Server 2005 version of the Execute DTS 2000 Package task and two supporting assemblies. These three Integration Services components support backward compatibility between SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000 Data Transformation Services (DTS). Without these three components, SQL Server 2005 packages and tools that require DTS support will not run.

However, SQL Server "Katmai" Integration Services includes a version of the Execute DTS 2000 task and the two supporting assemblies. Therefore, you can upgrade SQL Server 2005 packages that require DTS support to the SQL Server "Katmai" format by opening them in the SQL Server "Katmai" version of Business Intelligence Development Studio, and then running those packages as SQL Server "Katmai" packages.

Using SQL2k. When I run the command below in query analyzer I get 3 columns
of info. However, when I run the same SELECT from code I get nothing. Can

Apparently, there is more to it. I tried your code in the attached
VB form, and it seemed to work fine.

Cannot generate SSPI Context?

I am trying to connect to one of our SQL servers via Ent mgr - I cannot
access and receive an error, see below. I can only see the server in Ent Mgr
if I remote to the server where SQL 2000 resides and run Ent mgr from there.
The SQL 2000 Named Intance resides on a Windows server 2003
The error I receive is:
Cannot generate SSPI Context?
After i change the SQL Server Service Account, i am getting above error
message. I change the service account 5 machines but i have only problem
with one server.
Please any body help me?You can define an alias and force the connection to using "name pipe" , there
