login in win 2003. I recently installed a new win2003, but I had Win2003
before and was fine.
In SQL Server, it is a mixed mode and everything seems to be fine.
What could be the other problems?

Cannot Install SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition - Minimum Requirements

I do get the warning about Minimum Hardware Requirement, but can

find nothing in the detail requirements to exclude my PCs configuration.

I have installed:

IE 6.0 sp1

IIS as a part of Win 2000 Professional Edition SP4

I have also used ..\aspnet_regiis -r to register ASP.NET 2.0

.NET Framework 2.0

SQL Server Native Client

SQL Server Setup support files

PC includes:

Pentium III 800 MHz

512 MB memory

HardDrive C: 5.92 GB (1.37 GB free)

HardDrive D: 13.1 GB (9.11 GB free)

I have tried several times to install SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition

(most recently from MSDN Disk 3097.1) I have tried to

complete an uninstall before each attempt.

I am, successfully, running Visual Studio 2005.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I've found that I can only install SQL 2005 from local media on Windows 2000 - you're not attempting to install from a network drive, are you?|||No. I am using MSDN Disk 3097.1 and the PCs DVD reader/recorder.|||

I am having the same issue and can't find out why it fails on the minimum hardware requirements.

I was looking at firewall issues, AMD Turion Mobile 64 clock speed issues, but can't seem to get past this issue.

I've tried express and developer with no sucess. I'd love to see an answer from microsoft on this one.

Cannot Install SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition - Configuration Tools Only

I have tried several times to install

SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition (most recently from MSDN Disk

3097.1) I have tried to complete an uninstall before each

I do get the warning about Minimum Hardware Requirement, but can find

nothing in the detail requirements to exclude my PCs configuration.

I have installed: IIS and .NET Framework 2.0

I am, successfully, running Visual Studio 2005.

Why does the installation process stop there and what can I do next?

Look int he setup logs, they will tell you what requirements what not passed.

There are 35 .log files. I am

guessing the one you refer to may be:

SQLSetup0001_586III800205_Core(Local).log It is a

19KB file

It confirms that the only 'Setup Consistency Check' failure is

the warning about

minimum

hardware requirement:

These messages do not tell me much. I would appreciate help in intrepreting them.

|||The minimum hardware requirements should only pop a warning, not a failure, so it may be something else. The best way to navigate the logs is to search for the text string "value 3", which is the internal logging code for displaying the errors. If you can find the log containing that string and post the +/- 10 lines on each side, we can probably get a better idea of what's going on.
