a problem..." error when opening EM. It has been working fine up til now, and
I've made no changes to system, etc....
I replaced the SQL Server Enterprise Manager.MSC file with one from my
laptop, which is identical, but this did not help. I can open other mmc
files, just not this one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is preventing me from doing
many tasks.
Thanks in advance,
Tom
Hi Tom,
From your descriptions, I understood that you are not able to open SQL
Server Enterprise Manager with the error message "Microsoft Management
Console has encountered a problem...". Have I understood you? Correct me if
I was wrong.
Based on my knowledge, please delete file "SQL Server Enterprise Manager"
under
C:\Documents and Settings\<login ID>\Application Data\Microsoft\MMC
and then try again.
If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to let me know. We
are always here to be of assistance!
Sincerely yours,
Michael Cheng
